Jesus was in Capernaum. Four man came with a paralysd man on a stretcher. They tried to go to Jesus but they couldn't. That's why they went to the flat roof of that house and made a big hole just above the spot where Jesus stood. There they dropped him. Jesus saw there was no doubt in them that He would help their friend.

Practical lessons
The misery of the paralysed man made his friends do something and as a result they brought him to Jesus.

What do you do, when somebody needs a helping hand? Many people have physical or mental problems and perhaps you can do something about that, alone or together with others who are also worried. Human need made these four men do a merciful act.
